How to Read Ovulation Test Correctly

Before calculating the correct date to use an ovulation test, you need to know the length of your menstrual cycle. Start by writing down the first day to the last day of your period for each cycle.

You should record this information for at least 3–4 cycles. This will help you determine the interval of your menstrual periods. To calculate your cycle length, count from the first day of your period in one cycle to the first day of your period in the next cycle, as shown in the table below.

In addition, you can perform the urine test at any time of the day; however, it is important to test at the same time each day for accurate results.

When the test shows a positive result for ovulation, the color of (T) or the test line will be dark or darker than (C) or the control line.
